Illini volleyball earns No. 1 seed in NCAA Tournament


(Photo: courtesy Illinois athletics)CHAMPAIGN — Illinois volleyball's road to the Final Four isn't a distant one. In its second year under head coach Chris Tamas, Illinois earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, meaning Illinois will host through the regional (the first four rounds). The Final Four will be held in Minneapolis (Dec. 13-15).Illinois (28-3, 17-3 Big Ten) is the No. 3 overall seed and will host Eastern Michigan (21-13) on Friday.
